Hi, my name is Aji. I am originally from The Gambia, West Africa. I had my BA in Psychology and BS in Behavioral Health in 2024. I went on to pursue a Masters in Applied Industrial and Organizational Psychology at George Mason University. At the end of my first year, for personal reasons, I decided to take a LOA for the 25-26 academic year. Over the summer, I started working as a Higher Ed Amin at RIC Health Services and decided to apply to the YDEV program. 

During my undergraduate studies, I was part of the McNair Scholar Program. I received laudable support from the Program Director and the rest of the team. That ultimately inspired me to pursue further studies in this field to be in positions where I can work with youths and give back the support, and guidance I received when I needed it the most.

Outside of my studies, you can catch me binging some reality TV show, or grabbing bubble tea at Thayer street ( Gosh I LOVE BOBBA).
